Breast Cancer Research 2014 Grants

You may have gathered that the Leardon team is dedicated to developing a variety of medical device products that will save lives. One area that hits extremely close to home is Breast Cancer, which is why we hope that our hard work and dedication will help better detect and assist in curing breast cancer faster, easier and at a reduced cost.

If you  have or are creating a medical device, you know how challenging it can be. The regulatory requirements, clinical trials, and materials manufacturing are just the tip of the iceberg. Without adequate funding, these types of ventures can be very difficult to navigate.

Grants

At Leardon Solutions, we try hard to stay up to date with the industries we serve and have discovered that a determined team always finds grants to help secure the funding required for medical device development. Breast cancer is no exception and offers a lot of promise in this area. Grants are available from many organizations, however, today we’ll make note of just one to begin with.

The Avon Foundation:

The Avon Foundation is aiding in the prevention knowledge and research aimed at helping cure breast cancer. They have several grant programs available to help achieve this goal.

“The Avon Foundation for Women continues its search for new preventive strategies to address the growing number of breast cancer cases around the globe. To develop new strategies to prevent breast cancer, we need to understand the causes of breast cancer in people, changes in breast cells that give rise to cancer, markers for disease, and how breast cancer progresses. The 2014 Avon Foundation Research Program seeks proposals in these areas to advance understanding of causes of breast cancer and prevention.”
